Film and radio director, producer, screenwriter, professor at the Film School in Łódź. Graduate of filmmaking studies at Moscow’s Cinematography Institute and then assistant director to Krzysztof Zanussi and Krzysztof Kieślowski. His works have garnered many awards, including the 1992 Prix Italia for the documentary radio show The Testament, the 1991 Felix Prize for Europe’s best documentary feature Usłyszcie mój krzyk / Hear My Cry, the 1995 Grand Prix of Monte Carlo’s International Television Theater Festival for the documentary Stan nieważkości / Weightless. His films and radio shows have been publicly broadcast by radio and television stations in Europe, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Japan and Africa.
