Palast Theater, one of the first cinemas in the German city of Breslau, opened on September 3, 1910. Its building housed the Warszawa cinema after World War II; having undergone a thorough modernization at the start of the last decade, it became the Lower Silesia Film Centre (Dolnośląskie Centrum Filmowe). DCF, the heir of this location’s rich cinematic history, is celebrating 110 years of cinema on Kościuszki Square. This is a great opportunity to reach into the festival archives and present a number of films which made history at DCF by winning the Lower Silesia Grand Prix Award at previous editions of Millennium Docs Against Gravity in these storied walls.
