Even those completely unfamiliar with yoga are welcome to attend the two-hour workshop following the screening of “Iyengar: The Man, Yoga, and the Student’s Journey”, giving them the opportunity to learn about the specifics of the Iyengar yoga method. The participants will begin with a brief session of pranayama breath practice, going on to work on asanas (yoga poses) in order to learn how the sequence of asanas brings order to the practice and introduces each new group of poses.

Admittance is free, but capacity is limited

Marianna Gutterwil — founder of the Manomani school of yoga and pilates, art historian with over 15 years of experience with yoga. Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute-certified Junior Intermediate yoga instructor.
