When a small family photo is enlarged and projected on the exterior wall of a building, its single story from the inside of a flat becomes a part of a larger tale about a community.
The Nearest and Dearest project involves projecting home photos taken by residents on the exterior walls of their buildings after dark. This light show transfers indoor photos to the outdoors; appearing in a public space, they fill it with the intimate stories of people near and far, linking them into a unique shared narrative.
