BARBARA WROŃSKA

Chopin’s Nose Competition juror. Composer, singer and songwriter, music arranger, instrumentalist. Raised in a musician family, Barbara Wrońska has been playing the violin since she was four years old. At 12 she began her concert career with the band Powolny, performing at student music festivals around the country. She studied violin at Frederic Chopin secondary music school and then devoted her time to composing and creating pop music arrangements. In 2002, she joined the band Pustki, for which she composed, arranged and sang until she decided to launch her solo career. In 2015, she created the soundtrack for the film musical The Lure / Córki dancingu (dir. Agnieszka Smoczyńska). The film was awarded best debut award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and received World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award for Unique Vision and Design in Sundance.
