This year’s Senior Documentary Academy presents two movies selected by renowned Wrocław film scholar Jacek Szymański, longtime Film Society activist and Senior Film Club mentor. Join us on Thursday for “Lessons of Love”, the heartwarming tale of Jola, a vibrant woman of almost 70. Her life is as interesting as it is difficult—Jola returns from Italy to her hometown of Szczecin after 50 years in an unhappy marriage and begins the life she’d always craved: she sings, she dances, she writes songs and poems… and also meets a new man.
