During the special festival edition of the KinoUkraїna cycle, we will discuss war as depicted in the acclaimed documentary “The Earth Is Blue as an Orange”, as well as “The Length of the Day”—a novel by Ukrainian writer Volodymyr Rafeenko, who was forced to leave his home city of Donetsk at the start of the war. The Polish translators of “The Length of the Day” will explain what makes it one of the most important statements about the conflict raging in Eastern Ukraine.
