Screening of LEAP OF FAITH. WILLIAM FRIEDKIN ON THE EXORCIST, dir. Alexandre O. Philippe, discussion with film critic Jakub Konefał, and a special midnight screening of THE EXORCIST
Movies talk about the mystery of fate or the mystery of faith, says Friedkin and points to “The Exorcist” as an example of the second variety as he dramatically recounts incredible stories about the creative process and odd coincidences on and off the set. Was this film actually possessed? How was the horror classic actually made? There’s no one better to answer these questions than the author himself, William Friedkin, and horror fan and scholar Jakub Konefał. Do you feel like watching the film again after such an impressive introduction? We’ll start screening “The Exorcist” exactly at midnight!
