Protagonist of THE PAINTER AND THE THIEF. Guest of the online meeting. She was born in 1983 in Prague, Czech Republic. For several years she lived in Berlin, Germany where she worked as an assistant to several artists in addition to working on her own artworks. She eventually moved to Oslo, Norway where she still has her home base and has worked as an artist for several years now. She currently splits her time between Oslo and a hideaway in the Swedish forest. She's working on a new painting series called Manikarnika in addition to new works featuring her Muse, Bertil (the Thief).
Co-director of FROM WITHIN. Polish film producer, director and editor, born in 1963. He is the owner of the Blue dReam Film studio and lecturer at the Krakow Film School AMA. He has worked as an editor on many well-known Polish productions, including „Destined for Blues” (2005), „Little Rose” (2010), „Imagine” (2012), „Once Upon a Time in November” (2017).
Director and screenwriter of THE WALL OF SHADOWS. Eliza is a director, alpinist and traveller. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and Wajda Film School in Poland. Since 2004 she directed awarded world-wide documentary films, often produced in extreme locations: What happened on Pam Island (TVP, 2010), made on Greenland; Walking Under Water, ZDF/Arte, 2014), filmed on the seas around Borneo and underwater.
Protagonist of PHOTOGRAPHER OF WAR. Has over the course of his twentyfive-year career photographed many of recent history’s defining human rights and conflict issues. Grarup’s work reflects his belief in photojournalism’s role as an instrument of witness and memory to incite change, and the necessity of telling the stories of people who are rendered powerless to tell their own.
Co-director of FROM WITHIN. He graduated film direction from the faculty of Radio and Television in Silesia University. In 2005-2007 he took part in Film Kindergarden classes organised by Andrew Wajda Movie Direction Master School during which movie "Cold" shown on 7th International Film Festival Era New Horizons was made. In 2015 he finished documentary "Little Big Team" also shown on a few film festivals like: Millennium Docs Against Gravity or Kraków Film Festival.
Producer of SCANDAL. Warsaw-based creative film producer, SGH Warsaw School of Economics graduate. He has previously worked at the National Centre for Culture Poland and Poland’s National Audiovisual Institute. In charge of Raban Foundation’s activity and development. He is currently working on documentary projects about the Warsaw Sports Club AKS ZŁY and Maciej Parowski, one of the creators behind the Witcher character.
Co-writer and cinematographer of THE WALL OF SHADOWS. Co-creator of Oscar-nominated Rabbit a la Berlin (dir. Bartosz Konopka) and co-director – with Ewelina Niewiera - of Domino Effect and The Prince and the Dybbuk, which received the Venice Classics Award for Best Documentary on Cinema. Director of photography in many award-winning short- and full-feature films, including the Oscar-nominated On the Line (dir. Reto Caffi).
Co-director of FROM WITHIN. Inhabitant of Sanok. Graduated in law from University of Rzeszów. In 2009 he came up with an idea for Love Never Dies festival - an event to commemorate Tomasz Beksinski. Making a short documentary Doctor Jimmy was a part of the event with Tomasz Szwan as a co-director. The film had a screening at the 50th Cracow Film Festival.
