How high is Poland’s inequality index compared to other countries? How much of the GDP do the top 10% of earners get and is that a lot? Is inequality always unjust? According to Thomas Piketty, “inequality in itself is not necessarily wrong, but its motivations and justifications remain a fundamental issue”. We’re going to discuss the distribution of wealth in Poland and the development and consequences of income inequality with Bartosz Totleben, PhD, of the Poznań University of Economics and Business.

Bartosz Totleben, PhD — economist specializing in political and institutional economics. Adjunct of the Department of Macroeconomics and Development Studies at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. Author and co-author of a number of scientific publications on macroeconomics and the institutional factors affecting state functioning.
