Wednesday, September 9 | 20:00 | Kino Muza, screening room #1
Meeting with director Eliza Kubarska and cinematographer Piotr Rosołowski following the screening of THE WALL OF SHADOWS
Language: Polish
A family of Nepalese Sherpas breaks a taboo by accompanying a team of eminent European climbers—Marcin Tomaszewski from Poland and Russians Dmitri Golovchenko and Sergei Nilov, two-time winners of the Golden Ice Axe, the mountaineering equivalent of the Academy Award—to the Himalayan peak of Kumbhakarna, the holy mountain of the Sherpas. They do it to earn money for their son’s education. Unfortunately, the unceasing snowfall plaguing the expedition is merely the first of the mounting difficulties. Will the gods forgive the climbers’ audacity?
