Quebonafide: Romantic Psycho Film
What do you do when it seems like you’ve achieved everything? The first documentary about one of the most popular—and one of the most mysterious—Polish rappers follows him over the several weeks of his trip through Asia. During his journey Quebonafide, a man of intense internal contradictions, finally has time to contemplate a number of important questions: what role does music play in his life; when does he really feel free; are his best ideas a matter of intuition? Meeting people and discovering fascinating new places, from Russia through China to Mongolia, inspires him to work on new material. Though he turns to the cameraman on the shore of Lake Baikal to say that the film should be titled “A Tale of a Jaded Rapper”, another of his statements fits him better: “I’m a fan of total life”. “Quebonafide. Romantic Psycho Film” provides a rare opportunity to follow an artist in the process of creation, gathering his strength to put out a new album—a time of tremendous pressure… particularly for a person as sensitive and introverted as Kuba. The producer of this documentary, Red Bull Media House, gives fans a chance to see the everyday life of a rapper who had always shunned the media and cameras.
