Language: Polish

The jury, consisting of:

Małgorzata Szczerbowska—actress and screenwriter, formerly affiliated with Teatr Pieśń Kozła and the Jan Kochanowski Theatre in Opole, currently works with Sopot’s Boto Theatre. The star of the stage performance “For Sale” (dir. Szymon Kaczmarek) debuted on the silver screen in Jagoda Szelc’s “Tower. A Bright Day”. Szczerbowska is the author of several award-winning screenplays. Former educator at the Michael Chekhov Studio London and the Wrocław branch of the National Academy of Theatre Arts; acting coach at Intensive Acting Courses in Wrocław since 2012.

Krzysztof Majewski—radio journalist (Radio Wrocław, Radio RAM, Radio Wrocław Kultura), Wrocław native. Host of KinoTalk, a weekly film and TV show review program, and DAB+ Film on the airwaves of Radio Wrocław Kultura. Conducted hundreds of interviews with creators, both already famous and about to be. A fan of good sound, particularly in the cinema. Enthusiast of new technologies, good design, and—to his great surprise—of mountains.

Joanna Synowiec—curator, cultural animator, member of the NOMADA Association. Former collaborator of BWA in Wrocław and Tarnów as well as the Wrocław Contemporary Museum. Manages the Dzikie Przyjemności publishing house/workshop with Dominika Łabądź, focusing on activities related to publications on socioartistic contexts and the history of Wrocław. Her interests are micronarratives, unconventional histories, feminism, extra-institutional art circulation, and the future of Earth.

Jarosław Perduta—director of the Lower Silesian Film Centre (DCF), Wrocław native, public institution manager, communications and social dialogue specialist, former journalist and TV producer, NGO activist involved with the implementation of cultural, social, and educational projects on a local and international scale, co-founder and coordinator of social campaigns, graduate of international internship programs (Birmingham, Dortmund, Dresden),

will award the Lower Silesia Grand Prix to the author of the best of the movies participating in the Main Competition of the Wrocław edition of the festival.

The ceremony will be followed by a screening of THE KINGMAKER.
